Microsoft today announced that Windows 11 is getting more stable and closer to release, with the latest Insider build being promoted to the Beta Channel.
As revealed by the company, the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.100 has started rolling out to Insiders in the Beta Channel.
"If you are in the Dev Channel, now would be the right time to consider switching to the Beta Channel if you want to stay on more stabilized builds of Windows 11," the Windows Insider team said.
"For those of you new to the Windows Insider Program and flighting of OS updates – check out this article for how flighting works."
Among the things to expect, Windows 11 comes with an entirely new user interface, a new Start Menu, an improved File Explorer, Windows widgets, redesigned virtual desktops, and many more.
You can check this story for a quick rundown of all the changes to expect after installing Windows 11 and this article for additional information on Windows 11 features and expected release date.
Upgrading to Windows 11
Even though Windows 11 will only start rolling out worldwide in early 2022, Microsoft already made it available to customers after officially unveiling it as the next version of Windows in late June 2021.
Windows 11 is now available to all users enrolled in the Windows Insider program and can be installed on any Windows 10 computer.
As part of the June launch, Microsoft also revealed the Windows 11 hardware requirements, saying that a TPM 2.0 security processor is required to upgrade or install Windows 11.
However, as Microsoft later added, Windows Insiders already in the Dev channel could still install Windows 11 preview builds even if not meeting the TPM CPU requirement.
After enrolling in the Windows Insider program, you can upgrade to the latest Windows 11 Insider build now rolling out worldwide by going into Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program and activating the Beta Channel to get the Windows update.

If you are in the Dev channel of the Insider Program using hardware that does not meet the requirements for Windows11 and select Beta Channel I believe MS will move your computer to the Preview Release channel. MS will give you and option to revert back to the Dev or Beta down the road. That is because only the Dev channel gets the free ride for Windows11 on nonconforming hw while it remains in the non release mode.

how flighting works and what it means:
Flighting: A combo of Fighting and Lying
Microsoft will use your input to improve lockdown, censorship of you by taking ownership of "your" improvements and preventing "you" from benefiting from "your" improvements
Microsoft is the World Leader in Lying to End Users, Taking Ownership of their Improvements to Windows (without compensation) to Lock Down those very users in a Global Censorship Grid for the Personal Profit of those who know how to manipulate the Legal Landscape at your expense

I agree, but unfortunately this dude won't consider it, since he is a troll... Always hating MS, and always being non sense.

It must be noted that the above poster has somewhat extreme opinions about MS.

LOL, ain't that for sure!
On a lighter but equally serious note of complaint, Win 11 offers me nothing I need or am interested in and if they do not allow the incrementally improved to perfection start menu to remain EXACTLY as it is in Win 10 or at least provide the option for it, I will resist as long as possible "upgrading" to it. For those of us with huge numbers of installed apps, many of them not used on a regular basis, the current start menu presentation is perfect.
