Forgot my password. Would this method work in order to get in?

I forgot my password to login because the last time I logged into my old PC was 7 years ago. I never created a backup disk/CD either. I saw this video on YouTube and a lot of people were thanking him in the comment section but a few were also having trouble and were getting errors including one who claimed that his admin account was disabled.
If I follow the step exactly the way he gives them I shouldn't really run into serious errors right?

No backup...unsupported Windows version...seems to me that you have nothing to lose by following the advice of anyone who claims to be able to do what you want to do.

 

I would not do so because I believe that backups are the real solution to such situations.
