Hi All!

Can anyone tell me how to delete the Google Gemini on my Windows 11 desktop?  It just appeared as a black diamond to the right of my top search bar.

Can you uninstall it using Revo?

Hi Meg!

Thank you so much for your reply!

I DO have "Revo Uninstaller" but I have only used it to uninstall unwanted programs from my Control Panel.  Can you tell me how to delete it from my GMail page?

Mark

Ah, it's on your Gmail page, you didn't mention that.

Do you have any extensions on your browser you don't know?

No problem, do you know what extension it was? Also happy that you solved it!

Can you uninstall it using Revo?

That will probably break something beyond removing Gemini.

It's pretty well insinuated into your Google apps.

BUT scroll down here to the heading

How to Uninstall the Gemini App on Windows

Also see here for more info:

But it's probably best to just ignore it.

It is an AI thingy. Open it and ask it how to remove it from your email account. :)

I didn't know it was an AI thing, since my Google Account doesn't let me get any new emails I stopped using it.

Thank you alll for your replies!!

Meg:  I didn't solve it.  I don't have an extension that says Gemini.  If you know how to remove it with Revo Uninstaller than please let me know.

MoxieMoma:  OK on Revo breaking something.  Don't want to do that.  I tried that link earlier today and nothing happened.  It was like I was being in a loop asking me the same questions over and over.

buddy215:  How do I do that without signing on.  After the trial period it's $19.99 a month and I cant afford that.

WHY DOES GOOGLE KEEP ADDING STUFF WITHOUT GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO REMOVE IT WHICH SHOULD BE MY RIGHT?!!

Meg:  Thanks again!

Mark

What about uninstalling the app and go to the account on-line and see what options there.  They must have to ask if you want it installed.

I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that you knew what it is. Sorry about that.

....scroll down here to the heading:

How to Uninstall the Gemini App on Windows

AI is all the rage....

MS has CoPilot.

Google has Gemini.

It is an AI thingy. Open it and ask it how to remove it from your email account. :)

EXCELLENT idea! :hysterical: :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2:

Personally, I generally ignore it (and MS CoPilot). But I do dabble with them a bit. In my line of work, the AI always needs to be fact-checked by a human, because the darn things spew stuff that's often not-quite-right.

IMHO, trying to remove these things is more trouble than it's worth, might break something, and likely will be thwarted when Google/MS/whoever reinstalls the darn thing later.

And, you never know, you might like it!!

Mark, whilst in Gmail, click the Settings cog, then "See all settings". Click the Add-ons tab at the top. Does it show anything relevant?

Hi all!

Me Myself & I:  I haven't installed the app.  I thought of that, but to install it I get a free trial pieriod, and then it costs $19.99 per month which I cannot afford.

MoxieMomma:  I haven't installed the App (As per Me, Myself &I)  Right now it is just a black diamond (star?) icon that appeared on my GMail page.  When I hover over it it says "Try Gemini".  When I click on that it says "Try It Out".  When I click on that I get a 30 day free trial.  Ater that it will cost me $19.99 per month.  Is there a way to remove the black diamond or star?

Secret-Squirrel:  It says there are no add-ons installed.  I haven't installed it. (See MoxieMomma reply above)

Thank you all once again for all of your help!

Mark

What happens if you right click on it?

I have a Google mail account on W11 and I just checked to see if that "diamond" was on it...nope...not on it.

Perhaps you have used your CC buying something from Google is the reason they are offering that to you.

I haven't done that.

But, seriously, if it was on my Google and I couldn't easily remove it....I wouldn't be the least concerned

about it.
