So a ?? have you typed Sound into Start Search and checked out all the options there.
If have used Laptop to send to a TV it maybe using the TV setting and would have to change back to the laptop. (I have to).
So even if do not get your proper page, try the Realtek Drivers. Remove yours 1st.
From info:
Device ID: ROOT\MEDIA\MS_MMDRV Service: audstub
As well Codecs use the same driver
Have you tried this : https://appuals.com/no-audio-with-this-device-cannot-start-code-10-error-message/
I'm not sure you're reading this properly.
Let me reiterate:
I use kb888111 patched to work on SP3 since hdaudio.sys is missing from SP3
When i install kb888111 the sound starts working and "UAA Bus Driver" shows up in msinfo32 and "Realtek High Definition Audio" and "Intel Display Audio" show up in device manager
All in all the sound works fine
however,
when i restart the PC
the devices are gone.
Its like the UAA Bus was completely uninstalled and is not even recognising the devices
Windows acts like the devices don't even exist in the computer.
So, it either works perfectly or it's not detected
If i install the sound driver without the UAA Bus THEN it gives a code 10
If i install the UAA Bus I dont need to install a driver since it works perfectly (until reboot)
Also, yes there is drivers for this.
And no, it's not connected to anything else.
I usually try to search the whole internet for solutions;
But this has just got me stumped.
Thanks for the help!
however, please do try to read carefully.
=D
EDIT:
It seems to me that the UAA Bus might not be configured to run on startup
I currently have to run the installer to get the sound working for the current session
Is there any way i can make it run on startup?
Thanks!
