Was in process of erasing disk from previous user, which seems to have gone wrong and now can't reload or download iOS from apple - nor will the Mac load its original OS on startup

So what I am asking is, is it possible to load WINDOWS 11 (or 10) on here somehow and how to go about it !

It is about 11 years old

Cheers

Hi:

Until a Mac expert weighs in....

Your Mac needs to be new enough & running an Intel processor.
You can then "boot camp" it to install Win10.

Have a look here:

@leachim

There is a link in the article I cited that offers the proper Windows ISO.

I suggest starting with that article for basic guidance.

:-)

I can't get into Boot Camp because the disk has been erased and won't load

Trying to Reinstall OS via CmD Opt + R always comes back with Cannot reach Server

I have not got another Mac to download High Sierra, But I can obtain a USB with it on

Would that work when in Recovery environment ?

Hi:

Rats.
I had a feeling that might be the case.

Sorry, I have no experience or expertise with Macs.

I hope someone will come along with better advice.

This might help unlocking the disk. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252667181?sortBy=rank

In terms of successfully installing Windows on a Mac, the biggest issue you are likely to encounter is not having the correct drivers. It may install, but don't be surprised if various things don't work as expected.

Ref Unlocking the drive...

Although some of that is dependant on being able to load the OS and making changes in Terminal

I don't have an OS, only Recovery....
