I upgraded my friend's dell Inspiron 15 3573 from 4GB to 16GB of RAM. It has a single RAM slot, and I made sure it is also DDR4 SODIMM. Now, the PC won't turn on. It receives power as indicated by the white light at the front, but it does nothing when I press the power button. No fans or anything.

When the DVD drive is plugged in, it makes a quiet noise, but nothing else.

I saw the laptop has a max RAM support of 8GB, but others have installed 16GB without issue. I am using Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 Memory. Could the speed be the issue? Thanks in advance.

Same OP already answered here

8GB of RAM is the max as is stated by Dell at their specs here

To avoid disappointment and a waste of cash it is best to be led by what any related manufacturer advises rather than hearsay on the internet.
