Outlook.com. Logging in with my Godaddy MS Exchange me@example.com. It says me@netorg.onmicrosoft.com. Why does it do this? There is no problem with my password, I am able to log in to see my inbox in other ways, but on Outlook.com, it redirects me to an alternate looking email address. Earlier this year, I migrated from the old Godaddy Workspace system, to the newest GoDaddy MS Exchange 365 system.
I used to have a personal MS account with the same name, but I have renamed that other account, so that can't be causing this. 2 Godaddy agents could not fix this. I read 2 Godaddy articles, but they had no solution.
Windows 11 fully updated, browser updated.
How do I stop Outlook.com from redirecting me away from my Godaddy Work email me@example.com, to me@netorg.onmicrosoft.com? Thanks.

Hi, Welcome to BC.

Are you sure you did not just create a alias : "  I used to have a personal MS account with the same name, but I have renamed that other account,"

It as far as I know not possible to rename a MS account.

It is possible that the conversion caused the issue but others would have it also.  Some info here : https://www.google.com/search?q=godaddy+netorg.onmicrosoft.com

Looks like onmicrosoft.com is owned by Microsoft, so no need to worry about it.  That being said, I wished these giants would stop doing this as it confuses the heck out of users concerned by security issues.  I think this is done because these giants have lots of subsidiaries and the overhead of managing DNS changes becomes a nightmare with tremendous delays.  Their solution, a new domain lookalike name managed by the entity that needs it.  My solution would be to instead create a sub-domain managed by the entity that needs it.

My ISP does this with their marketing mailing list.  I complained to them explaining my concerns, and it fell on a deaf ear, so I unsubscribed. facepalm-40x40.gif

EDIT: When you reply to an email, you should see your me@example.com in the From: field.  If not, something in the system configuration is not right.  My personal solution to all this madness is to not use Microsoft/GoDaddy systems.  I have my own hosting service.  But that's just me.
