Modern technologies are getting more and more complex for an outsider to understand. I don't expect any book to be comprehensive, covering too many subjects within various knowledge fields. Even Wikipedia can barely keep up with current development trends by making very basic comparisons of various technologies, such as, for instance, JavaScript-based web frameworks or server-side web frameworks. Various libraries and frameworks, such as, for instance, React, Vue.js, Node.js, Angular.js etc each exhibit certain advantages in practical use. Different languages, such as Python, JavaScript etc, each have been surrounded by its own families of such libraries and frameworks. The book must stress the differences, draw the parallels of comparison so that even a 16-years teenager could understand the main purpose of each technology and how it stands against the other and what gains it can provide. Are there any particular books that can give good insights about such trends in web development and content management with good examples of practical use?

Tried reading various Wikipedia articles for references, but couldn't find anything particularly relevant for understanding at high level without going deep into detail (without code snippets)
