What kind of software I can test my PC's running speed?

I have more than one PCs using various CPUs (Inter, AMD), memory cards, video cards, I want to select a fast running speed PC.

Hi:

What do you mean by "fast running speed"?

Are you referring to hardware BENCHMARKS?

https://www.techradar.com/best/best-benchmarks-software

https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/recommendations-for-benchmarking-and-stress-testing-a-new-pc.3830285/

If you could be a bit more specific, we can probably better help you.

Cheers

Bench marks for various CPU and GPU are online.

As for the RAM and Drives comparisons, just check the vendor's specifications for each piece of hardware.

It will be self evident.

Also the motherboard's specifications will have to be considered for the CPU and RAM performances.

For graphics cards.

What I am looking for is a application which I will install on both PCs and then test two ways.

1) Download the same big file (e.g. 100G file from the same location).

2) Open the same big photo file (e.g. RAW format)

I will select fast PC as my main working computer.

Is it possible?

From BENCHMARKS, I really don't know how to compare.

Download from the internet or transferring a file from another drive (internal or external) to another?

Download means getting a file from the internet, but so often people incorrectly use the term download for simple file transfers.

Opening the RAW file in what program? From the main drive or an external drive?

Technically you could time the events and compare the results.

That would give some idea of the speed or lags.

Just make sure there are no other  tasks or open programs running at the same time as doing the tests to get an evenly tested setup for the different desktops.

Both file opening and speed of download with be dependent on the speed of the drive, type of drive used and bus speeds or PCIe type of the motherboard, etc.

Also the drive's internal cache will influence the speeds of moving and opening very large files.

Downloading from internet will require a good ethernet or wifi adapter, and which generations of these. Another consideration for comparing.
