I am tired of typing so I am looking for a way to connect Pixel 8 to Windows 11 using microphone from phone as voice typing.

Is it possible?

You can connect an Android phone as a microphone to a Windows PC.

Offered "as is" -- do not download or buy any software without careful research:

And you can use Phone Link to link your phone to your PC for other tasks.

But I doubt it will type for you.....

Would it not be simpler to use dictation {AKA "voice typing") on your PC?

Yes, you would need a microphone, if you don't have one (either USB or built-in to your monitor).

But it would be simpler than adding an Android phone into the equation.

Just my tuppence and worth less

Edited to correct link

I do use voice typing on Windows 11 with just earbuds + built-in mic.  This is quite adequate, understanding I still have to fix the transcription errors.  It doesn't seem to be as accurate as the voice transcription on Android which is surprising.

The alternative to using Windows built-in (works everywhere) voice transcription is Google's doc voice transcription (via Chrome, probably Edge too).  Or the best ones are the AI-powered transcriptions, like through Gemini or Bing.
