I recently compiled a large photo album and copied all the pics from my PC onto a Kingston Data Traveler 128GB USB stick. However, when I tried to view the photos many could not be viewed due to the PS4 telling that 'the media cannot be viewed'. They can be viewed perfectly normally on my PC and my External HD. Most of these images are jpeg so why can't they be viewed on the PS4's Media Player ?

The PS system requires a the USB drive to be formatted as FAT32, to have a PS4 folder within which you create a Photos folder. It is in this Photos folder that you place the pictures you wish to view.

If you right click on the USB drive & check properties it’ll tell you what format it is using.

Yes, it's FAT32.
