Software subscription services have become a huge part of our lives, but they can really add up over time, and they're so hard to avoid. Even essential apps like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint require a subscription to Microsoft 365. Or, they did, but there's a new alternative that lets you pay just once to get the full productivity suite for life.
If you’re tired of monthly fees and want a more budget-friendly option, Microsoft Office 2024 is here to save the day as a practical replacement for Microsoft 365.
This software suite offers all the essential tools you need without the ongoing costs, and it's even on sale. Instead of paying $249, you can get a lifetime license to Office 2024 for Mac or PC for $179.97.
Office 2024 vs. Microsoft 365
Office 2024 comes packed with all the familiar applications you already know and love, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote. Whether you're drafting reports, crunching numbers, crafting stunning presentations, or managing emails, this suite has got you covered. The beauty is that you won’t have to juggle multiple subscriptions or worry about monthly payments.
One of the best things about Office 2024 is that it lets you work offline. Unlike many subscription services that depend on an internet connection, Office 2024 installs genuine Microsoft apps directly on your computer.
Security is another big win for Office 2024. With features like improved search in Outlook and robust protection against potential threats in Excel, you can feel confident that your data is safe and sound. Regular updates help keep your software secure, giving you peace of mind while you work on sensitive projects.
Best of all, Office 2024 is available as a one-time purchase for both PC and Mac users. No more apps exclusive to one device or another.
An end to subscriptions
Invest in a lifetime of productivity.
November 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT is the deadline to get a Lifetime License for Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Business for Mac or PC for $179.97.

I am pretty sure that anyone using this web site is well aware of the following information and that this advertisement is significantly less than forthcoming.
This is indeed what Microsoft calls a "perpetual" license. And, yes, if Microsoft continues their past policies, it will not stop working as long as Microsoft wants to keep their activation servers working. (I can tell you that Office 2010 will still activate!)
What this article does NOT tell you is that this license comes with limited support. Currently Microsoft suggests they will offer security and compatibility patches for 5 years. Not a lifetime by most measures. After this time, Microsoft will tell you that your perpetual Office version is out of support and should be upgraded for security reasons. It WILL definitely keep working though.

@FredF: that just goes back to the old misleading advertising problem where "lifetime" is meant to be interpreted as lifetime of the product, not lifetime of the customer's literal life. So yes, I dislike seeing that kind of marketing, but it's ultimately just playing the game on a level playing field.
The sooner folks learn that ALL marketing and advertisements shouldn't be taken at face value, the better!

UPDATE: I got out an old 2010 HOME & STUDENT box and installed it on a computer. In fact the activation failed. It said that you had to use phone activation. Selecting phone activation displayed the message that phone activation was no longer available for this product. So, as deltasierra said, lifetime doesn't mean unlimited.
HOWEVER, Google helped and directed me to a support.Microsoft.com web page that provided a Microsoft phone number for activating Office 2010. The number and the activation worked. The 15 year old Office 2010 activated.
