The error you see has to due with the Microsoft Management Console, it's the same issue as here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/1g01qeo/opening_mmc_console_files_from_untrusted_network/

I think it's blocking me from completely updating, and plus i keep getting notices like im on windows 10, which I'm not

Did you get any errors when attempting to update?
And what do you mean with that notifications / Windows 10?

This may indicate a faulty hard drive (SSD), and that is very likely to be the root cause seen all the file corruptions we had to repair.

Is this system still under warranty?

Are you sure this is the correct error code, I can't find anything about it?

This is an HP Error Code, not an 'hresult' code of Windows, so I would suggest to contact HP if this system is still under warranty. This because it looks like a hardware issue, or an USB-port which does not work properly? Have you tried another USB-port on this system to try to start the cloud recovery reinstall from the recovery environment?

Yes. I got with HP today and its the harddrive, its corrupted. Can you happen to find out the maker of the standard SSD that comes with HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptops? I pulled system information and I have a theory that the drive installed isnt the standard one and that it was switched out by someone at some point.

Are you able to boot into the BIOS? Perhaps the model of type number of the SSD will still be shown even when the drive is corrupted.

Hi,

If this system is still under warranty I wouldn't change anything or try to update the BIOS, I would just contact HP to return this machine.
