This computer is significantly newer than Windows 7 and likely requires a Windows 7 Setup disc with SP1 built into it which supports the newer hardware.

You said you "Can't install sp1 because it stops". Do you mean you can't install Windows 7 from a Setup disc with SP1 built in, or that you can't install the SP1 update, because Windows 7 (without SP1) can't install in the first place?

My setup disk does not have sp1 on it and stops so I can't install sp1. Yes Autocad 2010 will run on 64 bit if you have the 64bit version, but mine is 32bit. The only way to run it on a 64bit system is to use a program called longbow. I have a 64bit version of win7 and it will install with no problem so I know it's not my computer. Can't find a win7 disk with sp1.

Looks like Dell stopped providing downloadable Dell Windows 7 DVD images a while back. There's an image available on archive.org, but I don't know how the other forum members would feel about recommending that.

By the way, you never answered which edition of Windows 7 you need. Do you need Home? Pro? Ultimate?
