Why do website developers insist on using light thin gray fonts?

he issue of light fonts is indeed frustrating. Most websites and browsers use default font colors for modern design consistency, but this overlooks readability issues. Dark mode helps somewhat, but it's still not perfect. Hopefully, future standards will address this better.
