Hi Guys,

I am running a Windows 11 PC with 32 GB RAM and processor is i7.

I want to install MacOS using virtual box. I am able to install it but after installation is complete and i restart it gets stuck in boot loop with message "System automatically rebooted due to panic'.

I tried few fixes and also saw YouTube videos but I am unable to fix it.

i am using the latest version of VirtualBox along with extensions.

Please help.

What version of MacOS because the latest versions wont work on Intel or AMD Machines due to MacOS now being ARM only. VirtualBox may not be able to virtualize an ARM Processor so not sure how you managed to install it.

The version I tried was Sonoma and Ventura. I managed to install but after that it keeps on rebooting.

What to do ? In YouTube videos I do see folks are able to install & run them. Should I try VMWARE ?

I am running Windows 11 PRO. The following options are unchecked (not ticked) in Windows Features: Hyper V, Virtual Machine Platform and Windows Hypervisor platform.

Do you think they are creating any issue ? Virtualization etc is enabled in bios. In task manager -> performance : Virtualization : Enabled.

Thanks, I managed to successfully install and run macos sonoma using VMWare. I use software update (from settings) to update to latest version it downloaded it and now while installing its stuck at apple logo with progress bar stopping at 75%.

What to do?

This isn't quite true - while Intel support is no doubt being phased out, and will be eventually dropped altogether, current MacOS versions (Sonoma being the latest release) definitely work on Intel CPU's.  The next release (Sequoia) will support selected Intel Mac's.

I've got nothing to suggest re. getting MacOS working in VirtualBox though.  I was under the impression that getting MacOS working on non-Apple hardware was tricky, especially with newer releases.

Very true. MacOS doesn't run well, if at all, on non-Apple hardware. Same goes for virtualization.
