Open the Window to do so by typing in Start--> Search copy/paste :  Create Restore Point   Click on then Configure and slide the slider. Done 20 secs. and then reboot to take effect.

I’ve been looking for a good alternative myself! You might want to try IrfanView or the Windows Photos app if you’re after something simple—both are reliable and open photos easily on a single click.

As already said. Do not need a attachment and why is this still not resolved.  Pick one.  Let the topic die a horrible death.

I have no idea what 'that app at the bottom' is but it an do little harm to try it and see !

However you have already been advised to try the best two image viewers around, Irfanview and Fastone. They have different strengths and weaknesses, I can only suggest that you try either or both and see how you get on.

My own preference is for Irfanview but mainly because it made a very tiresome job I used to have to do very easy. On one occasion my wife and I shot some 23,000 images in eight days and then I - note, not my wife - had to decide which of 2 or 3 images was the best and retitle it. Chose the better image, press 's', give it its new title, if necessary change folder, press 'Enter', job done !  Wash, rinse and repeat 11,500 times !

You are welcome, ne5! :)

However, I did NOT create that tutorial, but a former moderator, britechguy, did it. :exclame:

There is an article on What is Photos Media Engine Add-on and How to install it on Windows?

LOL..... I think I downloaded it when I was looking for a solution for the photos problem, however i uninstalled it last night, did a scan, no harm seems to have been done.

Thanks to everybody for the advice, if my photos has a bug and can't be fixed, I'll use one of the the new suggestions.  :thumbup2:
